Bilargo contains Bilastine, a second-generation, non-sedating, long-acting antihistamine.
Selectively blocks H1 histamine receptors (with much higher affinity than cetirizine or fexofenadine).
Does not affect 30 other receptor types, including muscarinic, dopaminergic, or serotonergic receptors.
It does not require metabolism to be effective.
Excretion: ~66% via feces and ~28% via urine.
Adults & Children ≥12 years:
20 mg tablet once daily on an empty stomach with water.
Do not exceed 1 tablet per day.
If a dose is missed, take the next scheduled dose—do not double dose.
Children 6–11 years:
10 mg mouth-dissolving tablet once daily.
Place tablet in the mouth (dissolves quickly) or mix with a spoonful of water.
Children 2–5 years:
4 ml oral solution once daily.

Bilargo’s levels may increase when used with ketoconazole, erythromycin, diltiazem, or cyclosporine—but without serious effects.
Alcohol or lorazepam used alongside Bilargo does not significantly impact CNS performance.
Do not use in individuals allergic to Bilastine or any component of the tablet.
Limited data in pregnancy; avoid use unless necessary.
Unknown if excreted in breast milk; consult a doctor before use during breastfeeding.
Usually does not affect driving, but drowsiness can occur in rare cases.
